Rugby weighs 24 pounds, but he’s built like a long distance runner….long and lean. He has the longest legs, and a very thin, slight build. He also has the softest, fluffiest fur, especially around his haunches! However, when it comes to napping, this little dogger has more creative styles than any other dog with whom I’ve ever shared my life.
Today’s snuggle is one of my favorite positions. He can curl up into the tiniest little ball, and he always tucks his little snoot down under his fluffy wagger! I think he does that to stay warm, but he naps like this all year round, often when he really wants a good long nap. All that I can see of his face are his beautiful brown eyes when he opens them. This photo shows his beautiful speckles, and although you can’t feel his fur, I promise you….it’s just like velvet. I don’t know how he tucks those long, long legs up under himself, but he does, and they are no where to be seen! This napping style is one of my favorites, and melts my heart every single time.
